Abstract

A REIEW ON NEEDLE-FREE INJECTION SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

Needle free injection system is a Novel drug delivery technology. In this delivering an ultra-fine stream of medicinal product with pressure in a fraction of a second to the skin, subcutaneous tissue, and underlying shallow muscle without the use of a needle. Needle free injection gives less pain, Elimination of needle disposal and additionally it is very fast injection compared with conventional needles. So, it is strongly preferred by patients. The purpose of current review is to enlighten the present and future prospective and also various technologies of needle free injection system. Some of technologies are Biojector 2000, Cool click, serojet, Antares’ Medi-Jector Vision technology,etc. Organisations such as WHO and CDC (Centre for Disease Control) and groups like Gates Foundation have supported the development of needle-free alternatives for drug delivery. This technology is used to deliver not only drugs but also proteins, peptides, monoclonal antibodies, small molecules and vaccines. Now a days, This become more safer method and increases patient compliance.
