Abstract

PHARMACEUTICAL STUDY OF VISYANDAN TAILA IN BHAGANDARA VRANA

ABSTRACT

Bhagandara is a chronic purulent disease in pelvic and periannal region with symptoms like pain, itching, burning sensation, pus discharge around in the anus. Wound healing is the major problem in treatment of bhagandaravrana. In Ayurveda classics various tropical pharmacological preparations are described for wound healing. Visyandantaila is one of the best among them. The present study was to evaluate the efficacy of Visyandantaila in Bhagarndara Vrana. The drug was prepared with pharmacognosticaly authenticated raw drugs & followed by detail analytical study as per standard protocol.
