COMPARATIVE STUDY OF PREFORMULATION AND IN VITRO EVALUATION OF SUSTAINED RELEASE MARKETED FORMULATION OF TRIHEXYPHENIDYL HCL TABLETS

ABSTRACT

The present investigation highlighted the study and evaluation of marketed formulation of Trihexyphenidyl Hcl. To achieve this goal, various marketed formulation of Trihexyphenidyl Hcl was evaluated with respect to the various quality parameters, (Uniformity of weight, Hardness, Drug Content, In-vitro Disintegration test and In-vitro Dissolution test). It was observed that Trihexyphenidyl Hcl (tablets) was pharmaceutically equivalent. In present study the comparative dissolution study of three marketed formulations i.e. Bexol (Intas Laboratories Pvt Ltd.), Hexylent (Talent Healthcare Ltd), Pacitane (Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Ltd.), was being carried out. All the formulations showed excellent drug release profile. The present study gives an idea about its release so that it will be useful for further development concerned with the improvement of patient compliance.
