Gaju Sowmya Sri* and Dr. Challa Pradeep Kumar
ABSTRACT
The endothelin is a potent vasoconstrictor of smooth muscle cells and these endothelins are implicated in the vascular diseases of several organs including kidneys, heart, brain and lungs. These endothelin receptor antagonists are include selective and nonselective ETA and ETB receptors which are used in the treatment of several diseases. This endothelin receptor antagonist conducts clinical trials in congestive heart failure. Results in endothelin receptor antagonists reduced in the levels of hemodynamic. The objective of this review is to evaluate the available describing the pharmacology, efficasy, safty and tolerability in patients regarding the different types of endothelin receptor antagonist on randomized trials including a class of drugs that target a
different cellular pathways believed to etiologically important in the congestive heart failure.
