ROLE OF TUTTHA KSHARA KARMA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF CERVICAL EROSION WITH MILD CERVICAL DYSPLASIA: A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
Cervical erosion is one of the commonest problem seen in women that causing distress to her reproductive life as well as general health. As eroded area is more susceptible for infection it may turn to pre-cancerous lesions of cervix in chronic state. Here Presenting a case study of Woman aged 41 years with complaints of whitish discharge per vagina and itching in the vulval region was screened with Pap smear for cervical pathology and found to have inflammatory smear with low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion(LSIL) which also can be considered as dysplastic. Destruction of columnar Epithelium and to promote the re-epithelization of the squamous tissue is the main treatment. Keeping this point in view, intervention with Ksharakarma by Tuttha was carried out for single sitting and follow up on 15th day showed marked relief of symptoms like whitish discharge, itching per vagina and repeated pap smear showed as inflammatory smear. Thus,
the Ksharakarma with Tuttha was found to be effective in the present condition.
