EFFECT OF TRITIYA TRIPHALA RASAYANA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF COMPUTER VISION SYNDROME W.S.R. TO DEHENDRIYA BALAM PARAM – A CLINICAL STUDY

ABSTRACT
Today we are living in modern and technologically advance environment. The life style of a person has been changed. Today most of work has done through modern equipments like computers etc. Use of computer for a hours continuously affect eye resulting impaired vision and associated symptoms. The symptoms are Dryness, itching, burring in eye, headache, cervical pain etc. These symptoms are collectively called computer vision syndrome. These are described in ayurvedic text as chakshuindriya dourbalya. The principle of Rasayana Dehendriya balamparam with use of Tritya Triphala Rasayana is suitable for chakshuindriya dourbalya. A study has been taken with the
aim to observe the effect of Tratiya Triphala Rasayana in the management of Computer vision syndrome. A conceptual work also has been carried out on the symptoms of Chakchhushyendriya daurblaya and computer vision syndrome. The drugs of Tratiya Triphala Rasayana are Yashthimadhu, Vanshlochana, Pippali, Triphala & Sita with madhu & Ghruta anupana. 60 participants have been included in study and the study drug advised for 90 days. The results are promising to help in computer vision syndrome on every parameter.
