ABSTRACT
The present study was designed to investigate antimicrobial activity of moringa oleifera fruit extract. The extraction of fruit in various solvent such as ethanol, chloroform, water was carried out. Phytohemical analysis of the aqueous extract of fruit shows abundant presence of alkaloid, glycoside, tannin, saponin, flavoinods, protein, and carbohydrate. The extract showed maximum zone of inhibition of staphylococcus aureus, E-coil, klebsiella pneumonia, and candida species against the gram positive and gram negative bacteria respectively through the disc diffusion method but less as compared to
the standard drug streptomycin.Hence, further studies are required for isolation and characterization of active constituent responsible for its anti-microbial activity.
