SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MACROCYCLIC COMPLEXES OF CHROMIUM (III)

ABSTRACT
The macrocyclic complexes resulted from the (1+1) cyclocondensation of α-diketones such as 2,3-butanedione, 2,3-pentanedione, 3,4-hexanedione, 1-phenyl-1,2-propanedione, benzil or 4,4’-dimethylbenzil with oxadiamines which is 1,12-diamino-4,9-dioxadodecane in presence of chromium (III) salts are synthesized by using butanol as a solvent. These complexes were characterized using different physicochemical studies as elemental analyses, FT-IR, FAB mass spectrometry, magnetic properties and their biological activities.
