FREE CARBON DIOXIDE LEVEL INVESTIGATION OF SEONATH RIVER: FROM SOURCE TO PLAIN OF DURG DISTRICT OF CHHATTISGARH IN INDIA

ABSTRACT
Seonath is the major River of the in India that passes across the
maximum part of durg district of Chhattisgarh. Domestic water, solid
wastes, industrial effluent from various areas is dumped into the river
through different drains. Water samples from river were collected from
five different locations of Durg city of Chhattisgarh during the month
of March, 2018 and analyzed for their chemical parameters, to assess
the quality of the river system. The study reveals that as per Free
carbon dioxide level, which exceed the permissible limits render the
water of the holy river to be unfit for drinking purpose and it is also
unhealthy for the aquatic life.
