POTENETIOMETRIC STUDIES ON THE COMPLEXES OF NI(II) WITH SOME AMINO ACIDS AND 2-(2’-HYDROXY PHENYL) BENZOTHIAZOLE

ABSTRACT
The stability constants of binary and ternary metal complexes of Nickel(II) with some amino acids (L- leucine, L- valine, L- serine and L- glycene). As primary ligands and 2-(2’-hydroxy phenyl) Benzothiazole (HBT) secondary ligand have been determined potentiometrically at an ionic strength 1.0 mol dm-3 KNO3 at 35±10C. The stability of the binary and ternary complexes are discussed in terms of the molecular structure of primary and secondary ligand as well as the nature of the metal ion.
