ABSTRACT
Slow dissolution rate of poorly water soluble drugs plays a major challenge in the drug development. liquidsolid compact technology is the most latest and novel approach to overcoming the problem of poorly soluble drugs. In this liquidsolid technology, the liquid portion, which is a liquid drug, a drug suspension or a drug solution in a suitable non volatile liquid vehicles is incorporated in to the porous carrier material. In this technique we use liquid vehicles like propylene glycol, polyethelene glycols or glycerine these are water miscible organic solvents with the high boling points. By using lquid solid system we enchance aqueous solubility dissolution rate as well as bioavailability of water insoluble solid drugs or liquid liphophilic drug. This method mainly used for BCS class 2 and class 4 drugs.
Keywords: BCS class 2, class 4 drugs and and liquid solid technology.
