ABSTRACT
The application of bio-nanotechnology is one of the most vigorous researches in present science and technology. It has emerged up as integration between biotechnology and nanotechnology for developing biosynthetic and environmental friendly technology for synthesis of nanomaterials. Nowadays, copper based topical creams have been widely used as a UV-blockers. In this study the copper nano-particles are synthesized by using extract from MIMOSA PUDICA. Reduction of copper nano-particles was confirmed by UV-VIS analysis. The chemical groups studied using FT-IR analysis, SEM and TEM analysis showed the shape and average size of nano-particles. Zebrafish (danio rerio) embryos were used to study the UV- blocker property of the synthesized copper nanoparticles and showed the UV-blocker property.
Based on the result obtained with further analysis, synthesized copper nano- particle can be utilized in various fields such as cosmetology, dermatology, nanotechnology and so on.
Keywords: Mimosa pudica, Daniorerio, Copper Sulphate, Nanoparticles, UV blocker.
