This study shows that Candida non albaicans in blood stream infection caused by many species of genus such as C.tropicalis, C. Krusei, C. Glabrata, C.parapsilopsis and C.famata are contributing more prevalence when compared to Candida albicans. Objectives: The main objective of this was to analyze the prevalence of Candida species in blood cultures and to analyze the antifungal susceptibility of each Candida species obtained from blood cultures of patients having various underlying conditions. Method: On the basis of CLSI guidelines and VITEK automation system differentiate and identify the Candida species and their antifungal susceptibility. Result: Candida tropicalis and Candida parapsilopsis were the predominant Non albaicans Candida species isolated from the blood cultures of patients having various underlying conditions. The Changing face of Candidemia shows that Candida non albicans shows high prevalence rate when compared to Candida albicans.
