ABSTRACT
In the present work some novel substituted 1, 3, 4 Thiadiazole and 1, 3,
4 Oxadiazole derivatives were synthesized by using Aromatic acids
and Thiosemicarbazide & Semicarbazide. The substitution of
chloroacetone in presence of anhydrous potassium carbonates again
addition the different aldehyde with malononitrile. The last step
involves condensation of amino group with aldehyde, ethanol &
sodium borohydride. All the synthesized compounds were
characterized by IR, 1H-NMR and Elemental Analysis. All the
compounds were evaluated for antibacterial activity by using cup-plate
agar diffusion method. All compounds were evaluated for the antidiabetic
activity by in vitro model of alpha Glucosidase inhibition. All
compounds were evaluated for the in vitro anti-inflammatory activity
and there after the active compounds for in-vivo activity. All the
compounds were screened for antioxidant activity by Hydrogen peroxide radical scavenging
activity method and phosphomolybdenum method.
Keywords: Oxadiazole, Thiadiazole, Antibacterial, Antidiabetic, Antioxident and Antiinflammatory.
