Abstract

A GENERAL REVIEW ON ALOE VERA IN SIDDHA SYSTEM TREATING LEG ULCERS

ABSTRACT

India is pride to be the land of medicinal values and lot of treatments using herbal medicines. Siddha system is one of the indigenous medicine system having its origin in South India. It is well known for its medicinal treasures. Wounds and Ulcers in leg are treated well using Siddha medicines. Aloe vera is one of the wonderful herbs in treating skin ulcers effectively. It has lot of biochemical, pharmacological properties which enhances the wound healing process. With this action it can also be used in treating leg ulcers.
