FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF A POLYHERBAL FACE GEL FOR DAILY USE

ABSTRACT
Herbal formulations have growing demand in the world market. Face wash prepared by herbal ingredient are better than the synthetic ingredient to avoid side effects. The present work deals with the development and evaluation of the polyherbal face gel containing three extract of Neem leaves, Hibiscus flower, Aloe vera and three oils Peppermint, Cinnamon oil, Lemon oil and Camphor. The plant have been reported in the literature having good antimicrobial, anti- oxidant, antiseptic, anti- inflammatory activity. Acne is the common disorder. It is mainly caused by the oil glands. Face and neck are the areas more prone to the acne. The above properties of plant which are necessary to keep the skin, smooth and attractive. Various formulations batches i.e. F1 and F2 were prepared using gelling agent like Carbapol 940 in varied concentration. Gel was prepared and evaluated for its Spreadability, consistency, PH and the result were found to be satisfactory.
