ABSTRACT
The present investigation deals with the preparation of polymeric nanoparticles of PLGA using soluplus as a surfactant. Although the most establish surfactant used is PVA, here an approach was made to formulate the nanoparticles using Soluplus as surfactant by both double emulsion solvent evaporation and single emulsion solvent evaporation. The formulations were successfully prepared to encapsulate the hydrophobic drug lycopene and evaluated for its particle size, polydispersity index, zeta potential, drug loading and entrapment efficiency. Morphology was seen by Scanning electron microscopy.
