HEMOPTYSIS: AN INTERACTION OF DUAL ANTI PLATELET THERAPY

ABSTRACT
Hemoptysis is generally defined as the spitting of blood from mouth while coughing and it is not considered if it is massive. It is associated with severe chest pain, breathlessness while exercising, low grade fever, nausea and vomiting. deficiency of oxygen or even shock in the patients and it is a major complication in hemoptysis or bloody sputum. As the occurrence is very rare and causes several complications physician should be aware. Dual anti platelet therapy increases the risk of hemoptysis. So, a careful moitoring is required to the patients receiving dual antiplatelet therapy.
