The objective of this study was to document the medicinal plants used by a folk medicinal practitioner (FMP) of Munshiganj district, Bangladesh. Methods. Interview of the FMP was carried out with the help of a semi-structured questionnaire and the guided field-walk method. Results. The FMP used a total of 9 plants distributed into 9 families in his formulations. Conclusion. A perusal of available ethnomedicinal literature on the plants showed that the phytotherapeutic uses of the present FMP are for the most part previously unreported.
