ABSTRACT
A New series of Pb(II) complexes were synthesized by the reaction of Pb(II) chloride with azine ligands in 1:1 molar ratio using methyl tetrahydrofuran as reaction medium. Azine ligands used in these studies have been prepared by the condensation of hydrazine hydrate and different carbonyls in ethanol. The structure determination and characterization of these ligands and complexes were made on the basis of elemental analysis and IR, NMR spectroscopy. The antibacterial and antifungal studies of the ligands and their metal complexes have also been carried out and their results have been reported.
Keywords: Lead(II) complexes, Azines, Antimicrobial activities and Spectral studies.
