ABSTRACT
Cannabis sativa belongs to family cannabiace is obtain from female part of its flowers. It is an annual herb. It has erected stem of height approximately 3ft to 10ft. slightly branched greyish leaves. The drug reduces excitement irritation and pain it also induces euphoric effect and deep sleep. Plant have great significance in Ayurveda as consist of miraculous medicinal and recreation properties and is used for the treatment of diseases such as cancer, aids/hiv, Muscle relaxant, malaria, glaucoma, asthma, hypertension and also as an analgesic for centuries now. Cannabis hold high dependency rate leading to its abuse. The highest level of cannabis is produce in Africa (Morocco) now overtaken by Afganistan. Cannabis despite being a miraculous drug hold lots of negativity and misconception with proper supervision
and detailed experimentation Cannabis may turn out to be boon to mankind.
