ABSTRACT
Myocardial infarction is one of the most common forms of CAD. The morbidity and mortality rate is very high due to MI. Beta-blockers, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE)-inhibitors and statins are widely recommended for most patients after AMI. But underuse is a main problem which is widely documented among them. Underuse may involves not starting treatment, poor compliance and also under dosing. But the actual fact is that most of the patients are never offered treatment, but treatment compliance and dosing compliance has received less attention. It is necessary to analyze compliance, initiation and dosing, to learn the likely targets for improving long-term use. This review focuses on the assessment of prescription, dosage and dosage persistence in patients after MI.
Keywords: Myocardial Infarction(MI), Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), Coronary Artey(CA).
