A CORRELATION STUDY ON SLEEP DISTURBANCE AND QUALITYOF LIFE IN CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE PATIENT

ABSTRACT
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a lung disease elucidate by chronic obstruction of lung airflow that conflict with the normal breathing and is not fully transformable. Due to dyspnoea, functional impairment and fatigue most of the regular activities of COPD patients have to modify. With increasing fatigue and dyspnoea, they adopt a sedentary lifestyle. Especially those who have high anxiety and depression patients have poor sleep quality. Several factors responsible for poor sleep in COPD patients. Sleep disorder and quality of life are comprehensive and they impel each other. The Quality of life (QOL) is a general term that is the determination of the
impact of disease on daily life and welfare in a formal and standard manner. Fewer Quality of sleep is more feasible in depressive COPD patients.
