APPLICATION OF ION CHROMATOGRAPHY FOR SIMULTANEOUS DETERMINATION OF ACETIC ACID, CHLORIDE & BROMIDE (A COUNTER ION OF ROCURONIUM) IN ROCURONIUM BROMIDE DRUG SUBSTANCE

ABSTRACT

A precise and accurate chromatographic method has been developed by employing an Ion exchange chromatographic column for simultaneous determination of Acetic acid, Chloride and Bromide (A counter ion of Rocuronium) in Rocuronium Bromide drug substance with sensitivity conforming to that mandated by regulations. The uniqueness of the method is that it enables measurement of analytes of differential chemistry i.e. Acetic acid – an organic analyte and Chloride, Bromide – Inorganic analytes simultaneously.
