MOLECULAR MODELING AND MULTISPECTROSCOPIC STUDIES OF THE INTERACTION OF AMANTADINE WITH EGG ALBUMIN

ABSTRACT
The binding of the drug amantadine (A) with Egg albumin (EA) was investigated by fluorescence quenching, absorption spectroscopy, FRET and molecular docking. UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy results showed that the binding of the drug to EA induces some conformational changes in EA. The values of Ro (the distance when 50% energy is transformed) and r (binding distance) are less than 7nm, it indicates the presence of interaction between amantadine and egg albumin along with the opportunity of energy transferfrom the protein to drug.
