WHEAT GRASS JUICE-BOON FOR MALNUTRITION IN MELGHAT REGION

ABSTRACT

Melghat in Maharashtra state recognized for malnutrition. Melghat, situated in Amravati District of Maharashtra, India is a tribal region with amongst the highest numbers of malnutrition cases. Number of children get died due to Malnutrition in Melghat region, there are many factor contributing to malnutrition. Goverenment and other constitution taking effort to minimize malnutrition problem but mortality and morbidity rate due to malnutrition is still existing in Melghat region. Wheat grass juice contain rich source of chlorophyll, B-complex vitamins, minerals and bioflavonoids, antioxidants which is essential to fulfill the demand of nutrient, protein and vitamins required for the normal growth and metabolism of body. Wheat grass can be easily grown at home which is economical and easily available.WGJ play important role in management of Malnutrition and also useful in management of various diseases like cancer, blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, various skin diseases, blood disorder, body rejuvenation, liver detoxification, ulcerative colitis, arthritic disorders, inflammatory disorders, tooth decay disorder and constipation.WGJ decrease the rate of mortality and morbidity due malnutrition This paper focused on the possible causes of malnutrition in melghat region and their solutions.
