ABSTRACT
The species Givotia rottleriformis is an Economically and Medicinally
important forest tree and well-known used in Toys making industry.
Different types of explants of this species were cultured on MS
medium supplemented with different concentrations and combinations
of Plant Growth Regulators. IBA and 2,4-D was found to be potent for
callus proliferation followed by IAA/NAA. Among the explants tested,
zygotic embryo explants were highly efficient for inducing the callus
in G.rottleriformis.
Keywords: Givotia rottleriformis, Auxins, Cytokinins, Explants, Callus.
