ABSTRACT
A specific, rapid, novel reversed phase Ultra pressure Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) method has been developed and validated for simultaneous determination of Amlodipine and Valsartan in pharmaceutical dosage form. This chromatographic separation of these Active pharmaceutical ingredients was carried out on a Acquity UPLC BEH C18 reversed phase column (100 x 2.1mm, 1.7μm) with a simple Isocratic program for 8 minutes with mobile phase consist mixture of 0.02M Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate buffer and Acetonitrile in ratio 68:32 v/v and mobile phase flow rate used constantly at 0.8mL/minute. The chromatography analysis was monitored at 237nm with column oven temperature at 400C and injection volume as 3.0μL. All the components were separated with good resolution in less than 8 minutes. The proposed method has been validated according to ICH guidelines[3], validation of method proved it to be Specific, Robust, Precise, Accurate and Linear over a range of analysis.
