Abstract

UV-VISIBLE SPECTROSCOPIC METHOD DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF SUNITINIB MALATE IN BULK AND FORMULATION

ABSTRACT

A simple and sensitive spectroscopic method in UV-visible region has been developed for the determination of Sunitinib malate in bulk and formulation. A method was performed with methanol which shows maximum absorbance at 432nm. The linearity was found to be R2= 0.999. The proposed methods have been successfully applied for the assay of the drug in pharmaceutical formulations. No interference was observe during the method development and validation of the drug. Results of analysis were validated statistically and thorough recovery studies.
