ABSTRACT
Objective: The present study was to investigate physiochemical and biochemical potential, and fluorescence analysis ofvariousdried extracts of Gnaphalium polycaulon. Methods: Followed by yield percentage analysis, the plant materials were subjected to analyse various physicochemical parameters, such asash values, extractive values and Loss of weight on drying (LOD) according to Indian Pharmacopoeia and WHO specifications. In addition to this, biochemical profiles (total carbohydrate, starch, DNA, RNA, total protein, total sugar, cholesterol and total chlorophylls) and fluorescence analysis were also carried out according to standard protocols. Results: All dried plant extracts showed significant results
in physiochemical and biochemical profiles and also showed remarkable colour changes by fluorescent analysis. Conclusions: These present findings clearly concluded that Gnaphalium polycaulon plant have medicinal property for the treatment of various diseases.
Keywords: physiochemical, biochemical, Gnaphalium polycaulon, yield, fluorescent, medicinal property.
