ABSTRACT
3-methyl-4-arylmethylene isoxazole-5(4H)-ones and 6-amino-1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]-pyrazole-5-carbonitriles are utilized as a building blocks in synthetic organic chemistry, which serves as growing scaffolds for the development of various biologically important heterocyclic compounds. This review covers recent synthetic advances in the preparation of heterocyclic compounds utilizing various 3-methyl-4-arylmethylene isoxazole-5(4H)-ones and 6-amino-1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]-pyrazole-5-carbonitriles via one-pot multicomponent reactions.
