“A STUDY OF RELATIVE EFFICACY OF KAUTAJADI SHILAJATU [SHILAJATU VATAK] WITH NAVAYAS CHURNA IN GARAVISHAJANIT PANDU”

ABSTRACT
So regularly, Continues and untimely consuming Viruddhahar for long time there is formation of Garavisha results in Aganimandya leading to dosh dusti especially Pitta Dosha and dhatu dusti leading to dhatushaithilya resulting Bal, Varna and Ojakashya and subsequently manifests as Pandu showing symptoms as Daurbalya, Annadavit, Shram, Bhram, Aruchi, Akshikotshooth, Hatprabha etc. Total 30 patients were diagnosed of Garavishajanit Pandu on the basis of subjective and objective parameters and subjected to clinical trials conducted at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical Foundation’s Ayurved Hospital and Research Center, Katraj, Pune. After filling preliminary data and acceptance to informed consent, Enrolled patients were alloted in both groups 15 in each group at random by lottery method
and they have received the medicine by single blind method. IEC clearance and Informed consent were taken prior to commencement of study. Trial Group-1(Kautajadi Shilajatu) and Trial group-2(Navayas Churna) were administered respectively Kautajadi Shilajatu and Navayas churna at Vyanodane with dose 250mg for 28 days. Appropriately graded Subjective and objective parameters were assessed on weekly basis. Result were noted significant in symptoms Hatanal, Akshikootshoth, Daurbalya, Kopan, Annadvit, Pindikodwesthan, Shram, Hatprabha, Bhram, Gatrashool, Shwas, Aruchi in both groups and also increase in Hb% and Normal RBCs morphology. Group T-1 more effective than Group T-2.
