ABSTRACT
Vascular malformations are congenital morphogenic anomalies of various vessels that can present at any age. They consist of various congenital vascular lesions ranging from simple skin discolorations to large devastating deformations. We report a case which was diagnosed as venous malformation of buccal mucosa and subsequently treated conservatively with polidocanol. Intralesional sclerotherapy using liquid sclerosing agents, which is a palliative treatment in most types of vascular anomalies, produces remarkable outcomes in smaller lesion. This articles also briefs upon sclerotherapy and also about the merits and demerits of polidocanol as a sclerotherapeutic agent in particular.
