ABSTRACT
The present study was conducted to evaluate the in-vitro antioxidant, anti inflammatory of Fragaria ananassa L. Antioxidant activity of ethanolic extract of fruit of Fragaria ananassa L. was studied by using in-vitro models that DPPH method, total antioxidant, reducing power assay method. Anti-inflammatory potential was done by in-vitro model as membrane stabilization method. Both of these activity was studied by taking various concentration of test compound (0.326±0.0057% at 200μg/ml). This extract achieving respectively high degree of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potentials. Present study concluded that Fragaria ananassa L. showed a significant antioxidant, anti –inflammatory potential. The FT-IR and HPTLC analysis reveals the presence of functional group polyphenols and the flavonoids compound quercetin which has the nature of working as an antioxidant.
