ABSTRACT
Objectives: To evaluate the antidiabetic activity of ethyl acetate and methanolic bark extracts of Bridelia retusa Spreng. on alloxan-induced diabetic rats. Method: Diabetes was induced by a single dose of alloxan (120 mg kg-1 i.p) monohydrate. The acute and chronic study included the measurement of blood glucose level at 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 24 hr and on 15th day after administration of extracts.
