ANATOMICAL STUDY AND PHYTOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF MURRAYA PANICULATA (L.) JACK

ABSTRACT
Murraya paniculata (L.) Jack is a common plant in the Amravati region of Maharashtra and is being used in curing various ailments ethnomedicinally from very ancient time by the people of this area. The present study was taken into consideration to check the Extractive values of this important plant in various solvents of different polarities. These different solvent extracts were also tested for the presence or absence of various phytoconstituents and the important phytoconstituents were quantified. The results validated its ethnomedicinally claims and also its usage by the local population of this area.
