ABSTRACT
Sublingual drug delivery has number of advantages like it produce fast onset of action, it is easier route of administration, it is also used in patients of dysphasia (difficulty in swallowing). Ondansetron HCL is selective inhibiter of type 3 serotonin (5HT3) receptor & shows antiemetic action. In the present study the research was done for the replacement of superdisintegrants that are Cross carmalose sodium & Sodium starch glycolate which gives comparative results with marketed products. The formulations were evaluated for pre-formulation & post-formulation studies. The disintegration time was within the range of 12 – 19 seconds & the results were satisfactory.
