THE CONCEPTUAL STUDY OF THE ROLE OF JALAUKAVACHARANA IN THROMBOSED HAEMORRHOIDS

ABSTRACT

Haemorrhoids is a disease which is very specific to human race only due to its erect posture. It is gudagata mamsa vikar occurs in three valis of the anorectal region. The incidence of haemorrhoids are common among all economical classes of population. Arsha or haemorrhoids included under the category of Mahagadas as it disturbes the normal activities of body like an enemy. Acharya Sushruta mentioned jalaukavacharan as treatment of choice in this painful condition. Leech application provides local analgesic, thrombolytic and anti-inflammatory action along with significant symptomatic improvement to the patient.
