SURGERY FOR A FRACTURED FEMUR AT 112 YEARS OF AGE - CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
We present a patient with 112 years of femur fracture. Patient took 200 mL CHO orally 3 hours before surgery. PACU patients received lumbar plexus block. Volume expansion Ringer's lactate solution and 6% hydroxyethyl starch. Spinal anesthesia with 7mg of 0.5% isobaric bupivacaine. Sensory level (T11) and motor blockade (grade 3). The surgical procedure lasted 55 minutes without hypotension, bradycardia or decreased oxygen saturation. The patient was transferred to the ICU for monitoring and sent to his residence on the second day. This case showed that with suitable techniques and conduits can perform surgery in a patient with 112 years.
