ABSTRACT
Two simple, accurate, sensitive, rapid and precise ultraviolet (UV) spectrophotometric methods were developed for the estimation of ketorolac in bulk and formulations. For the estimation of ketorolac in bulk and formulation, two solvent systems employed viz., 0.1M NaOH and 1:9 (water: phosphate buffer pH 7.2) and wavelength of detection (λ max) at 288nm and 287nm respectively. The developed methods were used to estimate ketorolac in bulk and formulations. The proposed methods were in good agreement with their respective label claims, thus suggesting the validity of the methods and noninterference of formulation excipients in the estimation. This developed methods were found to be stability specific and was validated as per ICH
guidelines, USP-2000 and statistical methods.
Keywords: Ketorolac; Spectrophotometry; 0.1M NaOH; Phosphate buffer pH 7.2.
