EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE AMONG HEALTH STUDENTS IN URMIA UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES 2016

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Students are counted as thoughtful investments for a country. Due to this education improvement and academic achievement are two important goals for universities. So this study aimed to evaluate the Educational performance among health students in Urmia University of Medical Sciences 2016. Material and Methods: This descriptive study was conducted on 54 health students in Urmia, respondents were picked randomly. A demographic form was used for data collection which included age, sex and GPA (Grade Point Average). Finally data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, T test and Pearson correlation by SPSS v.19. Results: The mean of age was 22.52 ± 4.2. The mean of total GPA was 22.52 ± 4.2. 15 respondents were female while other were males. The relationship
between gender and academic achievement was significant. So was the relationship between age and academic achievement. Conclusion: The academic achievement was in a poor rate and it was moderate in this study.
