ABSTRACT
This study of the reaction between ferrous of potassium ferrocynide to potassium ferricynide and chlorine emphasizes the role chlorine catalysts play in the deferrization process. Application of these catalysts may markedly increase the rate of over-all iron removal from natural waters as well as better method for conversion of ferrous to ferric salts.
Keywords: Chlorine as oxidising agent, oxidation, room temperature.
