ABSTRACT
Medicinal plants are the potential source of various bioactive compounds. But most of them are not scientifically evaluated. The scientific evaluation and standardization of a developed crude drug is essential for their commercial application. Celastrus paniculatus Willd. belonging to the family Celastraceae, is an endangered medicinal plant in India, mainly used to cure a variety of diseases. The present investigation is mainly focused on the development of a rapid shoot multiplication protocol for the large scale propagation of this plant species.
