SYNTHESIS AND ANTIMICROBIAL EVALUATION OF NOVEL PYRAZOLE DERIVATIVES BEARING IMIDAZOLYL MOIETY

ABSTRACT

Novel imidazolyl moiety bearing pyrazole derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of 4-benzylidene-1-{4-[3-(aryl) prop-2-enoyl]phenyl}-2-phenyl-imidazol-5-one with hydrazine hydrate followed by reaction with benzenesulfonyl chloride. All the newly synthesized pyrazoles were characterized by different spectroscopic techniques and elemental analyses. All the compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity.
