ABSTRACT
Science is a collection of technical/non-technical knowledge acquired by the human society. This article is intended to popularise a new botanical term, „Trans-anatomy‟ among the students/scholars of botany who pursue their education/research particularly in the field of plant anatomy. This article also highlights a series of unusual/anomalous anatomical structural features that occur in the tuberous roots of almost all the species of the genus Aconitum L. (Ranunculaceae) mainly due to the environmental factors. The proposed new term „Trans-anatomy‟ (trans, means changes; anatomy, means internal structures) refers to an unusual continuous changes (transformation) that occur in the anatomical structures of the tuberous roots of Aconites.
