ABSTRACT
The present study describes a simple, accurate, precise and sensitive UV-Vis spectrophotometric method for determination of Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride in pure and pharmaceutical dosage form. The measurement of absorbance at 260 nm, λ max for Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride.The Beers law observed in the concentration range of 10-100μm/ml with correlation coefficient 0.987 respectively. The method was validated for several parameters like accuracy, precision and linearity. The values of relative standard deviation and % recovery were found to be satisfactory, indicating that the proposed method is precise and accurate and can be used for the determination of Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride in pure drug and pharmaceutical dosage form.
