The objective of this review paper was to summarize the various greener approaches used for the synthesis of 3, 4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one/thiones Hence all approaches have been studied in this review paper The greener synthetic method offers benefits like higher yields, shorter reaction times and simple work-up Microwave assisted reactions and solvent free reactions are a part of greener synthesis.
