ABSTRACT
Data presented in preparation of phytol-loaded nanoemulsion and both phytol (PFNE) and its nanoemulsion (PNE) were tested for toxicity, cytotoxic, genotoxic and mutagenic effects. Toxic, cytotoxic, genotoxic and mutagenic activities were tested in Allium cepa, while cytotoxic activity was tested in Artemia salina, respectively. In the former case, copper sulphate (CS) and for later one potassium dichromate (KDCr) were taken as standards. PFNE/PNE/KDCr was prepared in a dose range 2-16 μM, whereas CS was tested at 0.6 μg/ml. This record is pointed out to expose the analyzed data which predict the toxicological potentials of phytol.
Keywords: cytotoxic; genotoxic; mutagenic; nanoemulsion; phytol; toxic.
