Abstract

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND BIOLOGICAL PREDICTION STUDY OF PYRAZOL -1-YL-THIAZOLIDIN-4-ONE DERIVATIVES

ABSTRACT

4- Thiazolidinones have been shown to have various important biological activities such as antiviral, diuretic anti-HIV, antihistaminic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Whereas, Pyrazole derivatives also have a long history of applications in agrochemicals and pharmaceutical industry as herbicides and active pharmaceuticals. Looking to the importance of thiazolidin- 4-one and pyrazole derivatives, we intend to synthesize new entities with both rings together. In the present work we report the green synthesis of some of the derivatives of pyrazol -1-yl-thiazolidin-4- one. Various chalcones react with different hydrazides and substituted isothiocynate in scientific microwave oven (20%, 140 W), to give different 2-phenyl-2, 5-dihydro-pyrazole-1-carbothioic acid phenyl amide derivatives , which on further MW assisted condensation with ethyl chloroacetate, furnish pyrazolyl thiazolidin-4-one derivatives . Library of such pyrazolyl thiazolidin-4-one derivatives has been generated and the structures were subjected to computer programme PASS to find out their probabilities of being active biologically. Biological Prediction study of the library was done to find out most promising molecules.
