ABSTRACT
Medicinal plants are a valuable natural source and regarded as potentially safe drugs. The main objective of the present research work was to see Antidiabetic activity of Aegle marmeols fruit extracts obtained by different (Hexane, Ethyl alcohol, Hydro alcohol) extracts. Phytochemical screening showed positive results for alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, terpenoids, phenols, tannin, carbohydrates, oil and resins in fruit extracts. The extracts showed rich phytochemical activity. Antimicrobial activity was evaluated against different bacterial strains (both gram positive and gram negative). It was observed that hydro alcohol extract of Aegle marmelos shows better activity in S.typhi ‘A’ (40mg/well) was the most potent extract which showed significant inhibition of the growth of bacterial strains.
